Hello, my name is Mfana Cele and I’m fundraising for my brother, Sipho Cele who suddenly passed away on May 25, 2025. The sole purpose for this fundraiser is to provide some assistance to his wife, Jody and his son, Mlungisi during this very difficult time. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated.

Sipho was 56 years old. He was hardworking and a relatively healthy man who had a passion for life and sports. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends, playing basketball with his son, and working on his backyard. In February Sipho was admitted to the hospital for what seemed like pneumonia. We later learned that he had contracted Long COVID. He spent 2 weeks in hospital fighting this sickness.

When he was finally released, we all breathed a sigh of relief. We thought that, once he had fully recovered, he would be able to go back to a somewhat normal lifestyle and do all the things that he loved. But this was not to be. On the morning of May 25th while his wife was at work, Sipho took his last breath during his sleep. It was his son, Mlungisi, who found him unresponsive in bed and called 911. By the time the paramedics arrived it was too late to save him.

Sipho is the third sibling I've had to bury so I know how quickly these expenses can accumulate.

We are raising funds to help with the funeral costs, any unexpected bills, and to support his son, Mlungisi's, needs.
