Hi everyone, we are Sione Ashworth’s family. I am raising money on behalf of my parents, Thomas and Heimohenga Makelesi Ashworth. We are heartbroken to share the sad news that our beloved Sione has passed away.

Sadly, we have received the distressing news that Sione will not be released to his family, and we are not being permitted to give him the farewell he truly deserves. We are determined to fight this injustice legally and are raising funds to cover the legal costs.

Sione was an incredible son, brother, and friend—truly the heart and soul of every gathering. His compassion knew no bounds; his kindness, warmth, and love touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He brightened our lives in ways that words can't express, and even now, his spirit will always be with us.
