As many of you know, I have had chronic sinus issues which has worsened over the years. About four years ago I developed polyps in my nasal and sinus cavities. These polyps have left me with no smell, no taste, and chronic everyday sinus pain and pressure.  I have had two surgeries, in the past three years, to remove these polyps - unfortunately they return quite quickly. I have been on oral steroids, which give me temporary relief, at a cost, and it is not a long-term treatment option.   There is no technical cure for polyps at this time.  

A new steroid nasal implant, Sinuva, was recently approved by the FDA.  This implant is my best hope of smelling and tasting again for an effective long-term period of time. Unfortunately, my insurance company will not pay for it. We even tried to appeal the insurance decision, and we lost the appeal. The implant alone costs $3,500 out of pocket (does NOT include placement procedure, office visits, follow up, etc.).   

I am absolutely desperate for some relief; I want to be able to smell my little boy; I want to be able to taste the food everyone rants and raves about. I know that I cannot afford the to pay that much money out of pocket.  I am asking for your help to accomplish these things.
