** FINAL UPDATE**

Dear friends,

We wanted to let you know that, sadly, the Pier to Pier swim was cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions. While we're disappointed, safety must come first.

But this isn’t the end of the journey! Many of us from our small team plan to swim next year instead, keeping the spirit of solidarity alive. There is also talk of possibly organising our own swim (safely managed on a calm day!)

Your support means the world to us, and we truly hope you’re still happy to have donated to Médecins Sans Frontières, an incredible organisation working on the frontlines with people forced to make dangerous journeys in search of safety. And of course, we won't forget you next year when we eventually take to the water in the Pier to Pier Swim.

**SWIM UPDATE** Our swim date has been postponed to the 19th July, as sadly rough seas on the 22nd June meant it would have been unsafe for us to enter the water. Hey, hoy, more time for us to train and most importantly more time to raise valuable funds!

We’re a small group of women — a mix of seasoned swimmers and enthusiastic splashers — taking on the Pier to Pier swim on Sunday, 22nd June. Some of us have trained, some of us are winging it, but we’re all doing it together.

We’re swimming in support of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), an organisation that provides emergency medical care in some of the toughest places in the world. They do the hard stuff — we’re just getting cold, wet, and slightly winded in solidarity.

We’ll be navigating waves, salty goggles, and that moment mid-swim when you something mysterious brushes past your leg and you pretend it was nothing. If you’re able to support us with a donation, however small, we’d be hugely grateful.
