On September 8th, Jennie Hallbrown at the age of 40 suddenly passed away after a probable heart attack, leaving behind her 10 year old son, Brandon. The family was devastated and immediately all rallied around to tend to the care and love for Brandon and took on the burden of all the logistics that follows an unexpected death. Jennie was a single parent to Brandon, living in Jamestown, CA for several years. Brandon attended the local elementary school and Jennie took him to his soccer games, baseball games, and swimming lessons during the summer, amongst other extra curricular activities. Brandon was learning to play saxophone as he started the 5th grade school year. This is a devastating loss for Brandon; losing his Mommy, and now having to relocate with close family members.  Not only has Brandon suffered the greatest loss imaginable, but also had to say goodbye to his home, school, friends, and pets in such a traumatic way. He has suffered other losses in his short life as well. 

Brandon’s grandparents have set up this GoFundMe for the purpose of Brandon’s most immediate needs and long-term needs, dispensing the funds as they deem necessary and as needed. Through your donation, it is the family’s hope that Brandon will heal through his grief and loss in the most supported and enriched environment possible. The photo above is the picture on the wall that Brandon picked out to have in his immediate possession the day his Mom died. In Brandon’s words through tears of grief, “I’m only 10 years old. I have my entire life ahead of me.” Although there will always be an empty seat at the table of grief, Brandon has the potential to do great things with his loving and compassionate heart and incredibly smart mind.
