Single mother save her family from becoming homeless.

Hi, my name is Mary and I’m a single mom of 3 children struggling to make ends meet. Last year in June, I lost my children’s father due to his lifestyle choices. He was the main source of income in our home. Since June, I have struggled trying to pay the household bills, mortgage and affording recreational sports for my children. In March, I lost my job of 14 years due to unforeseen circumstances. This affected us majorly. Every bit of our savings has gone to paying off debt and keeping a roof over our head. Due to losing my job, I am now in jeopardy of losing our home once again and having our power shut off. With nothing left in savings to pull from I’m at a dead end. His family has offered what they could but have been burdened with paying for his expenses and do not have the means to help and my side of the family is on a monthly fixed income barely making it by themselves. In the last 2 months, I’ve tried to make ends meet the best I can, but unfortunately, losing my job has put us at risk of losing everything. I’m 2 months behind on my mortgage and coming up on the 3rd. I’ve tried other resources but was denied due to specific qualifications.

My 2 older children play Pop Warner football and cheer. Registration has begun, and I don’t have the funds for this. They have been playing for the last 3 years and would be absolutely devastated to find out they can’t play. I was lucky enough to find another job in mid April but I fear we are so far behind on everything that the new job just can’t save us in time.

My goal is to raise enough funds to bring my mortgage current, pay my utilities to current status and pay for my kids to play football/cheer this coming fall.
