Single Mother of 2 In Need of a Kickstart
Donation protected
Hi everyone. My coworker is in need of help! I have known Flor for about a year now. She works in the front office as an Office Assistant. We greet each other with smiles every morning. Throughout this year I've gotten to know how incredible of a woman and mother she is. Each month she and I talk about her situation which has progressively gotten worse to the point of eviction. She has 2 daughters: one graduated high school last year and the other is currently in the 11th grade. Since her eviction, she moved in with her family. This week I noticed that she looked very stressed and the other morning I said good morning and she didn't respond, which is unlike her. She came to me later with an apology and gave me all the details as to what's been going on. She has been going from motel to motel, church to church. The current church she's been working with has been helping as much as they can but it won't be enough for next week. My coworkers and I have talked about this and have decided to create a fundraiser to help get her out of this situation. She mainly just needs a kick start getting into a place, but just can't afford the upfront cost. She works extremely hard and is always early to work despite having two children that also have their own needs. Flor never asked for help until now. She always had faith and is now feeling hopeless that things would get better. So, please join myself and others in raising a fund for her. We would like to raise $3000 to help cover any upfront costs to get into an apartment and some basic bedding. We will be overseeing the move from locating housing and getting her and her two daughters into a place they can call home. Thank you for anything you can donate!
