Hello, my name is Jennifer Broeker. On Friday, November 15th, my sweet friend, Jamie Gasta, her son Pax, her daughter Elayna, and their two precious cats, Flora and Methy (short for Methodist where Jamie rescued her from 9 years ago) lost everything in a terrible apartment fire. Thankfully, the cats survived but are very traumatized and need to be seen by a vet to make sure their lungs are okay after breathing in all of the smoke. The fire was caused due to negligence by the complex’s maintenance staff. The maintenance staff was onsite that Friday to make a repair to some broken pipes that had flooded Jamie’s unit the night before. To make matters worse, the apartment complex is not offering any help to the family. Jamie has filed a claim with her insurance company, but they need Jamie to provide them with pictures and a complete inventory of what was in the apartment despite it being a complete loss. Unfortunately, Jamie still has not been allowed to access her apartment. Currently, the family only has what they were wearing that day.
