Single mother fleeing domestic violence situation

My 8 year old son and I had to leave a domestic abuse situations on Sunday June 23rd suddenly following an altercation with my abusive ex partner.

We are paying for a uhaul & a storage unit to put our things in for the time being but for not we are living out of a few small bags of clothes that I was able to throw together before running out of our house.

With the combination of financial abuse and the rising costs of housing in Calgary & area, we are living on couches of friends and family for the time being.

I am kindly asking, if you have any extra amount of funds to spare, please consider helping us get back on our feet.

The funds are to help us with a damage deposit and first months rent plus the cost of the uhaul for getting all of our things out of our current home and to somewhere safe.

As we have places to sleep from supportive friends/family we do not qualify for emergency housing supports.
