Single Mother, fighting cervical cancer to the end

Donation protected
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Georgia Romero is a 48 year old, lifelong resident of the Inland Empire. She is the mother of 4 beautiful young women, and a grandmother to 3 young grandchildren. She is supported by her siblings, mother, children, extended relatives and family friends. She has been placed on hospice and is enduring a desperate battle with cervical cancer that is nearing it's tragic end. Georgia spent her work life serving the community as a noon aide, and then as a bus attendant for a local school district. Georgia was well known in the Colton community and we hope that everyone who knows Georgia will come together to show her as well as her family love, kindness, and generosity at this extremely difficult time.

In September of 2023, Georgia discovered that she has Stage 4 cervical cancer. What began as some abdominal pain quickly turned into 8 round of chemotherapy, and 28 round of radiation. Georgia was determined to beat cancer, but after all of that treatment, and some more imaging, it was apparent that her pulmonary condition was worsening. Blood transfusions weren’t working, and the number of hospitalizations were increasing, and then she stopped responding to treatment. She began to show failure to thrive, and severe malnutrition. With all of these factors stacked again Georgia, she was no longer considered to be a candidate for treatment, and serious discussions needed to take place amongst the family regarding her next step in her cancer journey.

Upon considering all options moving forward, the family thought it was best that they transition her to the comfort and care of home hospice care. Please consider donating to Georgia and her family as she nears the end of the road for her cancer journey. All that is to be done, is to continue to keep her as comfortable as possible until the end. We understand that it is a difficult time for everyone right now, please search your heart, and know that any donation would make a difference. Georgia is loved by many, and we just want to help her live as comfortably as possible now and also to help with funeral expenses in the future. Thank you for reading this and thank you for blessing her with your kindness. Thank you for your time and consideration.
