Right now is a critical time for this family, they are struggling despite hard work. Funds are needed immediately.
I am asking you to give anything that you can this year, I understand that it has been especially hard on all of us, but imagine being a single mother of three, trapped in the system. The government here wants those below the poverty line to stay there. It is cleverly set up so that those who want to succeed have a hard time getting out of it.
Please help me change and combat this.
Sharniece and the kids have floated on the thin line for too long, I do not know anyone who deserves this more. This family has lived in garages, single rooms, and shelters for far too long. This is the first time they have an apartment to themselves, and it is about to be lost without your support. The current situation is that Sharniece and the children do not have enough coming in to keep their current apartment. They are negative every month. The government has cut her monthly food assistance to $7 per day to feed her family of four. Because Sharniece is working, the government has also decided to cut daycare support significantly, she will soon have to pay a larger portion out of pocket, bringing her further in the red. Right now is a delicate and tough time, any help is so much appreciated. This is to help them break out of a system designed to keep them in.
Right now, Sharniece is wanting to go back to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in order to make a living wage for her family.
The kicker: Once Sharniece makes more money, the more the government takes away. Thus will put the family in the negative every month. They have come too far to lose again. Help me get them out of the system.
UNLESS
We help give her family a break by taking care of the rent and food while she can work and go to school.
Sharniece is a military veteran who grew up in foster care, she's been in the system for far too long. I applaud her for keeping such a bright and positive attitude while raising the most spectacular and beautiful children.
I met Sharniece while we were in high school and have loved her since day one.
Helping this family will mean the world to me, I will be in your debt.
