Family needs help after losing everything in a home fire

On Thursday, August 7th a fire tore through Berenice Ssnchez’s home. She is a single mother with four young daughters, Zaira (17), Bryanna (15j, Ariana: (13) and Idania (9).

Unfortunately, Berenice did not have tenant insurance, which means there’s no financial safety net to help cover the cost of replacing what was lost. They are starting from scratch without a home, and without the basic essentials we all rely on.

The fire caused extensive damage forcing all five of them to be uprooted on what seemed like any other day just a few hours earlier.

Thankfully everyone made it out safely, but the smoke and water caused irreparable damage to most of their belongings - clothes, furniture, keepsakes, household items are gone.

The girls will be going back to school soon without even the daily essentials. They lost their dad only a few years ago and have been hit with another tragedy. This will be an incredibly difficult time for them and at such a tender young age.

They’re now faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives and figuring out where they’ll be able to live.

We’re raising funds to help cover:

Emergency housing and temporary accommodations

Replacement of clothes, furniture, household items

Groceries, toiletries, school supplies, school clothes Day to day costs while they work to rebuild

Longer-term recovery and stability.
