8 Year Old's Wish: Taiwan Immersion Summer Program

Hi, my name is London! I'm 8-year-old and I live in NY with a deep love for language, learning, and culture.

Since the age of 3, I've been dedicated to learning Chinese. Despite the underfunded schools in my neighborhood, my mommy found me an amazing school that allows me to learn new and exciting things everyday in Chinese. My dream? To visit Taiwan to become a better Chinese speaker and experience a culture I've studied for nearly my entire life.

This summer, I've been invited to attend a four-week cultural and language immersion program in Taiwan where I will study at a local school, live like a local, and practice Chinese daily while also experiencing Taiwanese food, sports, and culture firsthand.

My mom supports my education, but this once-in-a-lifetime trip is challenging. That’s why I’m asking for our community to help make my dreams come true!

1. Airfare for me and my mommy

2. Lodging for 4 weeks

3. Tuition for the language school

4. Access to local sports programs

5. Meals, transportation, and cultural outings

6. Media equipment to document and share my journey
