Last month, I was diagnosed with a rare form of soft tissue cancer called DFSP. Just as I was starting a new job, I had to undergo Mohs surgery on my hip. Unfortunately, I have to pay for the surgery out of pocket.

I am a single mom to my 2-year-old daughter, who is truly my world. Before my diagnosis, I was already living paycheck to paycheck, but now the weight of medical bills and childcare costs at the same time has become overwhelming.

Because I live in Connecticut without any family nearby, I've also had to hire help during my recovery—things like putting my daughter to sleep, transporting her to daycare, and even helping with her baths. With a foot-long incision and over 60 stitches, I physically cannot do everything I wish I could right now.

Any contribution—big or small—would make a huge difference for us. Even words of encouragement mean more than I can express.
