Single Mom whose life took unexpected turn
I'm Ana, 29 years old single mom. In the past two months- my life had drastically changed from barely making it- to worse.
I had fractures in both of my feet, and because I couldn't keep up ( feet swelling ) I lost both of my jobs ( stocking and tea tending ). Due to an older injury to my hip and back from one of my students attacking me, it was proposed that I may have complications later down the road, and now those complications are here. My body can't hold itself up for long periods of time.My feet swell so much that I had to go to the next size up in show in order to put my cast inside my shoe and keep it compressed. Most of the time its painful to walk or run. My doctor says that if the swelling continues and it doesn't heal with these casts, he would need to BREAK them again and try to get them to reset. I need time to heal.
To add to this storm, my son has special needs with behaviors. Since he is too early to test for gifted, he is now forced in to modified schedule til his IEP meeting gets approved in 4 weeks. Til then, he only goes to school for 3 hours. I have been jumping all kinds of hoops for government assistance, etc but as it stands, would you hire someone whose feet are broken and can only work 3 hours? Those I put in applications for, have said they will be in touch but nothing yet. But who would hire someone under these restraints?
The topping to this storm, I dropped everything to take care of my 'adopted mom' 's husband, a woman who gave my son and I, a place to call home for the last two years. This same person, passed away a week ago unexpectedly leaving behind her husband that is in a vegetated state that needs critical home care. For the month of December, I helped the family with him but due to other forces, other family members, I was told it was better that I leave the place behind and find someplace new. Thankfully she left an understanding daughter whom traded places with us, the downside, this was so unexpected that my 'nest egg' I saved up was only enough to cover me for a month while I lived with her. Not the moving, not anything else. I paid last month of my bills with my nest egg and now I am left $20 to my name.
I need 4 weeks plus to get to that IEP meeting and once my son goes to school full time, I can go to work. Til then, I need help, desperately. I also had trouble asking and I don't ask unless there is a DIRE need- and at this point- it's DIRE.
Currently I am working on getting the documentation to work for Uber/lyft but that requires gas money to start that up again, after I am approved.
675 - Rent
500 - Car payment and insurance
100 - Phone /wifi for school
100 - for gas for a month
225 - light bill, oil change, deposits for internet and light to be switched to my name
100 - for grocery shopping ( I'm still waiting on government help and checking out food pantries )
= 1,700 to make this all happen,
That is the breakdown of my expenses that will at least last me til I get to his IEP date and I can start working full time.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED, and I am grateful for this platform to help me communicate my hardship to others. Once this hard month is through, I ask that anyone whom has helped, to please contact me through any of these outlets so I can personally thank you- and give a gift back to those whom have helped me.
You can commission art from me at:

I can make business logos, design business cards, flyers, pokemonsonas, fursonas, D&D characters and make character sheets, murals and more. Any commissions would go towards surviving at this point because I know Art is the only leg I have to stand on til all these hardships blow over. I am not just asking just so I can sit at home, I don't mind working for my money. I will edit this as soon as I have my etsy page up with original paintings to sell.
