I am a single mother of two daughters and currently seven months pregnant with my first son. I moved to Florida to escape an abusive relationship in Connecticut, hoping to give my children a safer and more stable life. After staying in a shelter, I was able to get an apartment, but the move caused me to lose my job. Being far along in my pregnancy has made it difficult to find new work, and I can't get daycare assistance without a job. My abuser destroyed our documents, so I was denied government help. Now, I have no money for bills, rent, or even food for my family.
Your support will help us pay rent, utilities, buy food, baby supplies, clothing, essentials, and work toward getting a cheap car since I don't have one. Every little bit helps us get closer to stability and gives my children a chance at a better future. I am doing everything I can to stay afloat and provide for my babies, but right now I’m a little behind and just need some support to catch up.
I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help, but starting over in Florida with my children has been more challenging than I expected. If you can donate, share, or even send a prayer, it truly means more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer.
