Single Mom Seeking Stability After Setbacks – Help Us Breath

Hi, my name is Shahirah. I’m a single mother of two, including a child with a disability. Right now, I’m facing one of the hardest chapters of my life.

I’ve been trying to stay strong and hold it all together, but things have snowballed: I’ve lost my job, I can’t start my nail tech training with WIOA due to program funding issues, and now my car registration has been blocked due to fees associated with EZpass totaling $490 I didn’t even know about because I never received proper notice.

I want to work. I want to rebuild. I want to provide a stable life for my children. But every door seems to be locked unless I pay to open it.

I simply have no steady income right now. I’m trying to launch a creative product I invented (a sensory toy called Wripeeze), but that takes time, money, and energy I don’t always have.

I’m creating this GoFundMe to ask for support, not just for my car, but for help with essentials:

• Clearing the vehicle registration so I can drive legally and work

• Supporting my kids (food, transportation, medical needs)

• Getting back into nail tech training

• Restarting my path toward financial stability and independence
