Single Mom, Scholar, and Still Pushing Through

My Story

Hi, I’m Evantee Wyatt—an elementary‑school educator, lifelong learner, and single mom to an amazing 10‑year‑old daughter. I’m working toward my Ph.D. in Education so I can advocate more powerfully for children who are often overlooked.

But this year life threw me a curveball: a herniated disk pressing on a nerve in my lower back. The constant pain has made it impossible to pick up the extra hours I normally rely on to cover tuition gaps. Because I’ve already exhausted every dollar of financial aid, I’m now facing a tuition balance I simply can’t meet for this semester—and the next—without help.

Why I’m Asking for Your Support

Tuition Needed: Your gift will go directly toward my university bill so I can stay enrolled and on track to graduate.
Health‑Related Hardship: Due to a herniated disk pressing on a nerve, I’ve been unable to work and earn the income I typically rely on for tuition. The pain has limited my mobility and disrupted my ability to maintain even part-time work.
Single‑Parent Budget: Every paycheck I receive goes toward essential household needs like rent, food, and utilities, leaving little room for anything else.

The Impact You’ll Make

Completing this degree isn’t just my dream—it’s my pathway to create equitable learning environments for thousands of children who deserve every opportunity to succeed. Your generosity will:

1. Keep me in my program instead of losing hard‑earned credits.
2. Preserve my financial stability during recovery so I can return to serving students full‑time.
3. Multiply outward—the knowledge I gain will translate into better classrooms, better policy advocacy, and better futures for countless children.

How You Can Help

1. Donate whatever feels right. Even \$10 bridges the gap.
2. Share this story with friends, family, or anyone who believes in educational equity.
3. Send words of encouragement. Healing is tougher than tuition; your messages truly lift my spirits.

Heartfelt Thanks

Asking for help isn’t easy. Yet I’ve learned that community can turn obstacles into stepping‑stones. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with me while I heal and push forward toward a more just education system for every child.

With gratitude and hope,
Evantee
