On December 13, I had to have emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder. The recovery took about a week, and as a single mom, that time away from work put me behind on my bills. I was determined to get back on track, and as soon as I was able, I returned to work to support my daughter and keep our lives moving forward.

Unfortunately, just as I was picking up a paycheck from one of my jobs, I was involved in a major car accident that totaled my car. Losing my vehicle has made it impossible for me to get to work, and despite my best efforts to save money while staying home, I have fallen even further behind on my bills. Right now, I am two months behind on my power bill in addition to my mortgage, and I am afraid our power may be shut off soon. The stress of possibly losing our home has been overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to find a way to get a new car and keep providing for my daughter.
