Hello, I am Kara and I am 19 years old. My sister is a single 37-year-old mother who has just recently been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. We found out last week and she is Her2 positive. Her cancer is very aggressive even though she caught it early. Her daughter (my niece) is 4 and her name is Lucy. She will undergo 5 months of chemo and then a double mastectomy. She may have to get a hysterectomy, we do not know yet since she found out about cancer last week. These surgeries will most likely put her out of work for a minimum of 6 weeks. She is a hairstylist and will still be able to work some through chemotherapy, but it will be less than normal. The doctors are optimistic about the outcome and diagnosis but there will still be medical expenses, rent to pay, food, and other expenses. She is currently going through a divorce and that is overwhelming enough without cancer being thrown in. Having to worry about money and if you can afford your bills while having to cancel clients for hospital visits is challenging. We would greatly appreciate anything you can do to help monetarily or through your prayers. Leann has an army of goodness behind her and we have really felt it these last couple of weeks. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Much love.
