Single Mom of Twins Facing Eviction on Sept. 30th
Donation protected
My name is Nicole, I am now a single mom of Twin boys that are 4 years old. My husband moved out at the end of June (with his ex-wife) and took all of our money. I have filed for a divorce but it is taking an extremly long time for the court system to handle my case. He is refusing to pay and child support and just left me high and dry having to fend for myself. He was the breadwinner of our family, I was a stay at home mom and a full time student at Cape Fear Community College getting an associates degree in business. There was only one vehicle and he is threating to take it almost every day. My children are in pre-k and he hasn't helped with paying for school, supplies, clothes, gas to take them to and from. My complex quickly filed for an eviction the end of July even after Brunswick Family Assistance offered a pledge and check to keep me here until things get sorted out. They signed the pledge and filed 4 days later regardless. This is extremely hard an degrading to ask for help but I’m doing this to keep a roof over our heads. After the dusts settles, and it will, I too will be the one giving back as there are so many good people that do not know us yet put their time and energy into my little family.
