Single Mom of 6 Needs Help to Stay Housed After Escaping Abuse

Story:

Hi, my name is Nadia , and I’m a family of 6. No man involved. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart, asking for help to keep a roof over our heads after escaping a domestic violence situation.

While we are finally in a safer place emotionally, the aftermath has been incredibly hard financially. Trying to rebuild from scratch, manage the needs of six kids, and stay on top of everything has left us falling behind — especially on our rent.

I’ve been working hard and doing everything I can to provide for my family, but the costs of starting over — moving expenses, legal fees, childcare, basic necessities — have made it impossible to stay current on rent. We are now facing possible eviction, and I’m terrified of what that would mean for my children.

We are currently behind $2000, and I’m asking for help so we don’t lose the little stability we’ve finally started to build. Every dollar raised will go directly toward back rent and helping us stay in our home.

This isn’t easy for me to ask — but I’m doing it for my kids. They deserve peace, safety, and a place to call home after everything we’ve been through.
