Single Mom of 4 & Help w New Attorney Retainer

Hello, my name is Tara and I am: an over achiever, hard working, single mother to 4 wonderful children. Since my divorce with the children’s father I have endured continuous hardship trying to make it on my own for myself and the kids. I survived a divorce that was against a Goliath financially, for 2 years, going Pro Se twice, handled my own 5 hour pre-trial jury conference (I did win one of my motions in Liminie pro se) with the Judge & opposing Counsel, sold every possession I owned to get to Jury Trial, turned down an offer to buy my kids & my rights as a parent for $150K right before testifying and WON without any witnesses. I fought tooth and nail for my kids and protected my good name against unfounded allegations by their father.

For uncertain reasons, I suspect to reduce child support or just control, my ex-husband has poorly chosen to drag me back to court exploiting “the best interests of the children” for an excuse. At first I was mad and even scared, but now I’m thankful in a way God has answered my constant prayers for “please help the kids’ father to understand the big picture and give him peace in his heart”. I now have the opportunity I could never afford an attorney to make change that benefits our children, however, I could only afford scrapping $5k towards the retainer and I can not afford this legal battle. We go to trial before the Court June 11-14 and I’m more than ready with my evidence to go to battle. I believe we have a good Judge, very compelling evidence, character witnesses, and mainly the belief that whatever decision/outcome Ordered will be for the best interests of our children. I have prayed, accepted this outcome and now I’m ready to dance in the ring with the ex for a 2nd time with even more confidence than I had the first!.

I need help and can be in the forms of the following: monetary, prayers in any forms of religion or sharing this message to another single mother who’s struggling and needs confidence to keep going!

The amount I’ve requested is what I need, anything would be beyond appreciated, anything bonus would go towards “want items” like future law school tutition or a “scratch n dent” washer & dryer that my new current apartment does not currently provide.

5/10/24 Update: My attorney has filed a motion to withdrawal counsel, honestly I don’t blame him, no one should work for free. To some this should be frightening, myself… well, same play book/ stragety

from before. I found a way then and already planing which mountains to move next to get to trial, this time with style. I’ve changed the amount to reflect what 3 attorney’s quoted me last summer based on the problems then. Actually they told me about the same: better have $100k for trial once I gave the name of the battle I face. Again, the amended amount is needed, never planned or expected and foolish to count on… the request is would extremely greatful and truly appreciated. I thank you even if you read this far.
