Single Mom Of 3- Hit & Run Assault
Hi, I'm Jasmine Barbee and I am a friend of Cindy Machuca- a single mom for 8 years to 3 awesome kiddos.
Yesterday, Cindy was walking and was the victim of a hit & run driver. This is what happened:
"We live close to a convenience store so I walked over to get pizza for the kids. We are packing up for the big move on Saturday and I finished work and had today to pack so I was just getting something quick.
I was crossing the street using the crosswalk meter and the guy hit me and fled. I saw him before going in the crosswalk and waited, he didn't turn so I continued with my right of way, then he accelerated, hit me, and drove off. "
If you know Cindy you know she is a tough, hard-working, always-look-at-the-bright-side, go to the ends of the earth for her family and friends, type of person. There is no such thing as raining on her parade- Cindy will dance in that rain and make the best of it- literally! Cindy doesn't ask for help- it's just not in her DNA. She works hard, she prays, she buckles down and does what she's got to do, but she could use a little help right now.
I can imagine that raising 3 kids, on her own, in a new city during the pandemic must have been incredibly difficult, but Cindy always sees the positive things in life. It's been a tough few years- Cindy lost her sister and best friend, moved from CA to Las Vegas, managed to raise kids who achieved excellent grades during the pandemic all while working full time. Now, with 36 hours left to pack and move back to CA, she is hit by car and left on the road with her injuries.
I'd love to help this bright soul and make her life a little easier. She will likely need dental surgery and has current and future medical bills as the driver who assaulted her is still MIA. Please join me and help my friend. Thanks so much!
XO,
Jasmine
