My aunt has always been a fighter, but right now, she’s facing one of the hardest battles of her life. Two years ago, she was diagnosed with Sick Sinus Node Dysfunction (SND)—a heart rhythm disorder that caused her natural pacemaker to fail, leading to her needing a pacemaker. Now, she’s facing even more serious heart issues. She has been diagnosed with a 5.1cm ascending aortic aneurysm (AAA) and an enlarged, leaky heart valve, both of which require urgent open-heart surgery to repair.

Because of her condition, she’s been advised to leave her job but, she needs to support her kids and is still currently working full time with NO PTO and since her diagnosis doesn’t qualify for disability she has no other option, she is struggling to keep herself and her three kids afloat. On top of her medical battles, she is also dealing with severe dental issues that require implants, adding even more financial strain.

As if that weren’t enough, she is a single mother fighting a legal battle with her children’s father, whom she had to get a protection order against due to an abusive past. The stress of court, financial hardship, and her declining health has been overwhelming, but she is doing everything she can to stay strong for her kids.

Right now, she needs our help. Medical bills, court costs, and daily living expenses are piling up, and with no income, she’s in a desperate situation. Any donation, no matter how small, will help her afford the care she needs and keep her family going during this difficult time.
