Help with a vehicle after Hurricane wind damage

Hi,

My name is Melanie and I am a single mom to 2 boys. Recently, we were in a pretty bad storm here in Bemidji, and in the process, my vehicle was totaled. I had just recently gotten this one in February when my other vehicle died. This was our only mode of transportation that we had. I work full-time and need a vehicle to get back and forth to work. Now, without a vehicle and having to figure out how to get a new one, it’s hard. Also, due to the storm, the one AC unit we had got ruined when it fell out of the window, so that is another expense to be added to the mountain of things that seems to keep growing.

I don’t like to ask for handouts, and I was able to do it on my own before, but I don’t think I can do it myself this time, so I am asking for any kind of help if possible even if it’s sharing this page. I have amazing coworkers and friends to help currently with rides but that cannot be a long-term thing as it’s not fair to them. Any help would be appreciated, and I am so very grateful for anything.
