Single Mom Needing Help with Expenses

Hi - I'm Brittany - 
I'm a single Mom, Caregiver and my son and I are recent Domestic Violence Survivors.
 
We've made it so far, by the grace of God, truly and through the compassion and support of our Community. I truly don't know where I or my son would be without this.

Since I was violently assaulted (DVA) by my former intimate partner and ex boyfriend in our home on March 29th, 2020, I have been able to pay rent and meet the majority of our expenses. 

This changed Saturday October 3rd, 2020. My long time close friend and client I was caring for was going to settle up and pay me for my work. She died suddenly and peacefully in her sleep Saturday morning.

This compensation was going to pay and secure my rent for this upcoming month, and allow me to meet our expenses.

When my friend died, this all changed. Now I'm worried about paying my car payment, insurance, the bills will come again, pile up, and I feel like I'm being buried.

I'm doing everything I can, applying to any agency or organization I can think of, looking for funding, asking for help, leaving no stone unturned. 

I'm left gutted and heartbroken in more ways than one. 

I'm asking for $3,000 to help us get through these next few months as I find different work, consider apprenticeships, look for roommates, pay our bills (water, sewer, internet for schooling, phone bill, electricity, natural gas for heating our home, etc.), and continue to meet the emotional, mental, and physical needs my son and myself have after trauma and through our recovery. 

Each day, I'm choosing to trust the process and that life, love, compassion, and Faith will meet us again.
