I was in a car accident 9.28.21. The accident was caused by a police chase, they had their lights and sirens off so I had no warning. Before the accident I worked 40+ hrs a week and was paid well enough to fully support my daughter and I, now I am left physically unable to work. It has taken two years to get a diagnosis. The x-rays show ligament laxity in C2-C6, because of this C4 & C5 are shifting side to side instead of pivoting. I have something known as a “stinger” in sports, basically my brachial plexus nerves as well as my long thoracic nerve are stretched, they are damaged and do not send the correct signals leading to tremors or twitches as well as pins and needs and numbness down my right arm. The damage to the long thoracic nerve is causing the winging of my scapula which is pushing up into my shoulder causing an impingement in my subcoracoid bone which is tearing into my subscapularis tendon causing small tears or frays. Unfortunately there are not many treatment options for the ligaments in my neck, however there is one that could possibly give me some mobility back and take away some of this constant pain. It is called Prolotherapy, it is an injection directly into the ligament, insurance does not cover this treatment though. The sessions are $250 each and to start 4 have been recommended, so I am hoping to raise $1000 for these initial treatments. Let me tell you, it is very frustrating to be stuck in this situation with no way to bring in income while being a single sole-custody with 100% parenting time Momma, any help you can give is appreciated. If I raise more than $1000 the money will go towards basic needs for my daughter and bills. Thank you for your time and any kindness you can send our way, even if it is prayers or thoughts.
