Hi, I’m a 21-year-old single mom doing my best to stay strong for my little one while working toward my college degree.
This year has been really hard. I lost my job back in June, and since then, it’s been a struggle trying to find steady work that fits around school and taking care of my child. I’ve been applying everywhere I can, but it’s been tough. Right now, I’m getting about $200 a week from unemployment, and I’ve been doing my best to stretch every dollar just to keep up with rent, bills, and groceries.
My landlord has been incredibly kind and patient with me, giving me time and working with me as I try to catch up. But the truth is, I’ve fallen behind on rent, and it’s starting to feel impossible to keep up on my own. My lease is up in March, and I’m just trying to hold on until then — to make it through this tough season and keep a safe home for my child.
I’ve been doing everything I can to make ends meet, but I really need a little help to get caught up and stay afloat. Anything — truly anything — helps more than you could imagine. Every donation, every share, every bit of kindness brings me one step closer to stability and peace of mind.
Thank you so much for reading my story, for your kindness, and for helping me keep a roof over our heads while I work toward a better future.
