Hi

My name is Patsy and I have recently helped one of my best friends and her 16 month old baby escape domestic abuse. She has no family here and has been here for over 10 years. They have found a place to live with reasonable rent. She had a full time job and was ready to start her new, safe, life.

Unfortunately, her current boss is not so nice and switched her to part time unless she brings in a restraining order against her abuser. I know it is super illegal but she has to keep this job for now.

I just want to be able to help her cover at least one month of expense which would be $3000. It will cover her rent, transportation, daycare, groceries, electricity, internet, etc. She has been to a few interviews and has more lined up for next week.

She is a super kind and hardworking person that never asks for help. But I see how much worry it is causing her and I just want her to know that her decision to leave was the correct one.

I am keeping her anonymous because she is hiding from her ex.
