This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I’ve always been the kind of person who helps others—whether it’s teaching, creating devotional and educational content, or building projects to strengthen my community. But today, I find myself in a place I never expected: I am at risk of losing my home.
This home isn’t just a building. It’s been my refuge, my foundation, and the one stable place in the middle of many ups and downs. But even more than that, it’s where I’m raising my 3-year-old child. Every parent knows the ache of wanting to shield their child from instability, and that’s what drives me to fight so hard right now—to keep a roof over our heads, to give my little one safety, consistency, and a place to belong.
For over a year, I’ve been out of steady work, despite applying every day and taking on projects wherever I can. I’ve stretched my resources as far as possible, but it hasn’t been enough to keep up with the mortgage.
Despite my best efforts, the job market has been unsteady. I’ve been applying, working on projects, and pushing forward every day, but my financial resources have run thin. I’ve already cut back everywhere I can. The reality is: if I can’t make my mortgage, I risk foreclosure and losing the very ground where I’m trying to build a future for my child.
I’m not someone who easily asks for help, but I know I can’t do this alone. That’s why I’ve started this campaign. Every dollar you give will go directly to covering my mortgage payments and preventing us from losing our home. Even the smallest contribution makes a huge difference—it buys me time, hope, and the stability I need while I secure steady work.
If you can’t give financially, your prayers, encouragement, and sharing this campaign mean the world to me.
Your kindness will not only help me save our home, but it will give my child and me the stability we need to keep going. From the bottom of my heart—thank you for helping us fight for a safe place to stay.
With gratitude and hope,
Denise
