Single mom and 7 kids lost everything in a house fire

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has helped our family during this difficult time. As many of you know, we lost everything in the fire. That day, we left with nothing—we didn’t even have shoes, socks, underwear, clothes, toothbrushes, hair brushes, shampoo, conditioner, or any of the essentials that most people don’t think twice about. The generosity we’ve received has been such a blessing, and I cannot express enough how grateful and thankful I am for everything that has been donated.

Going forward, anything donated will be used to help cover our rent, which has gone up by $700 since we had to move. This was the only place we could find in time because school was starting, and we needed a permanent address for the kids. In addition, I will be using part of the donations to get my 16 year old daughter some school clothes and shoes. She hasn’t been as fortunate as the younger kids in receiving donations, and I would love for her to feel special and supported too.
