Hey, my name is Alexis Washington, I’m a single mom of three amazing kids, I operate a small catering business in Texas. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit to ask for help during a really tough time.

Recently, I was hit with an unexpected $3,000 water bill due to a serious plumbing issue in our home. On top of that, the necessary plumbing repairs have added even more stress to my already tight budget. As the sole provider for my children, every dollar counts — and right now, I’m just trying to keep a roof over our heads and water running through the pipes.

As a small business owner, I’ve been juggling trying to keep my business afloat, meet monthly expenses, and care for my children — all while falling behind on bills. Every day, I’m doing my best, but I need a little help to get through this storm. My goal is to raise $20,000 to cover:

• The $3,500 water bill

• Urgent plumbing repairs

• Business expenses to help keep things afloat and continue providing for my kids
