Single dad with 2 kids lose everything in house fire

Donation protected
In the middle of the night, Sofia, Cecelia, and their father Mike woke up to a family's worst nightmare...

They woke up to a house full of smoke and flames as an electrical fire was triggered by a faulty outlet next to Cecelia"s bed. The flames engàulfed Cecelia's mattress in a matter of seconds and quickly spread from there. Before they could even process what was happening, the whole home was taken over by flames. By nothing short of a miracle, their dad was able to get them out safely with only the clothes they were wearing.

But everything else was lost.
THE HOME IS A TOTAL LOSS
Nothing could be saved or salvaged.

With what little money their father Mike had, he was able to get a room for a few days but has ran out of funds and can no longer afford the hotel and there is little to no assistance with many families struggiling due to high living costs all the affordable housing units are wait listed, and all government funded programs are closed.

They have no idea where they will go after they can no longer stay at the hotel. There is no long-term plan or backup housing. The clock is already ticking.

This family has already faced enough loss after their mother walked out on the family roughly a year ago, leaving their father Mike, who is on social security income, to raise these girls alone. He has worked hard to give them love and stability and the best life he could possibly give them…

And now — in the matter of one unfortunate night, they lost everything... every piece of clothing, every pair of shoes, every painting they ever painted or picture they ever drew, every school picture that hung on the wall, as well as every cherished memory.... EVERYTHING!

So I am asking the community to come together and stand behind these two girls and help this family in a time of crisis.

What We’re Raising Funds For:
✅ A safe and secure new place to live — hotel extension, deposit, or rental start-up costs
✅ Clothing, shoes, and personal hygiene essentials
✅ Basic furniture to rebuild from scratch (even the bare minimum)
✅ Washer and dryer — so they don’t struggle with laundromat costs
✅ School supplies so Sofia and Cecelia can return to class with dignity

We’re Not Asking for Miracles — Just Compassion

We’re not expecting extraordinary donations. Truly — even a few hundred dollars would be a blessing, because it’s more than they have right now.

The Red Cross provided a $600 Walmart voucher, which helped with immediate needs — and they are so grateful.

But $600 won’t replace a home.

If you can donate, no amount is too small.
And if you can’t, a simple share is just as powerful.

Let’s come together as a community to ease their worries & show these girls that they are not alone — that kindness still exists. ❤️

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
