Single black mother of 3 lost her vehicle in accident
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my friend Lisa who is an incredible single black mother of three young children who recently went through a life-changing ordeal. She was in a car accident where the other driver ran a red light and Lisa ended up T-Boning them in the intersection, which left her vehicle in pieces and possibly totalled. Thankfully, she is safe, but now she’s facing an overwhelming financial struggle as she waits for her ICBC claim to process—a wait that could take weeks or even months.
As the sole provider for her children, she relies on her car for everything—getting to work, taking her kids to appointments, and simply making sure they have what they need. Without a vehicle, even the most basic daily tasks will become a huge challenge.
Not only is Lisa an amazing mother but she also works as a Doula for the BIPOC community within the Downtown Eastside. The compassionate care Lisa offers to clients is so valuable. She is such a cherished member of her team and community and deserves to uplifted during this difficult time.
We’re asking for your support to help her cover transportation costs, essentials for her kids, and any unexpected expenses that come up during this difficult time. Any amount, big or small, will go a long way in easing the stress on this strong and hardworking mom as she navigates this setback.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word. Let’s come together as a community and show this mother that she’s not alone!
With gratitude,
Linda
