Theirs no better feeling than watching a rescue snuggle up against you and, for the first time, their sleeping without fear, knowing they have found a furever home.

My precious, beloved dog Sadie and cat Binky taught me the gift of boundless fur love and to have joy in the moment. What they didn't teach me was how to cope with the devastating heartbreak of losing them.

As a former teacher, current children book author and lifelong animal advocate. I decided to use my creative talents to channel my constant heartbreak into hope to help countless dogs and cats.

Millions of scared, sad and lonely dogs and cats are languishing in overcrowded animal shelters. Approximately 1 million healthy dogs and cats are tragically euthanized every year in overcrowded animal shelters. Half a million more endure unthinkable conditions and are held captive in cruel puppy and kitten mills.

The dogs and cats sit and wait, asking themselves, "Is this the day that I will be chosen to go to a home where i will feel safe and loved?"

Fundraising is extremely difficult and stressful for animal shelters, rescue centers and there is such a need to shut down cruel puppy and kitten mills.

In honor of my precious Sadie and Binky and all of your beloved fur besties. I've created the powerful Sing Fur Love initiative!

It will be a game changer...! It will help countless more dogs and cats to find their furever home! The initiative's mission is to provide an innovative revenue stream that doesn't normally exist for animal shelters, rescue centers and rescue groups that also places the SPOTLIGHT on rescue and adoption!

HOW WILL I RAISE THE NEW REVENUE STREAM:

I can't do it alone...!

With your generous support, passion and honoring your own precious fur besties. I will hire a web designer to create an immersive interactive "Sing Fur Love" website. I will also hire a social media consultant to create a strong social media presence.

EMPOWERING KIDS:

The website will empower kids to feature their own videos of themselves singing original songs they wrote about how much their dog and cat mean to them!

It will be an amazing opportunity for the kids to be recognized as a powerful voice to the countless voiceless dogs and cats. They will help make the desperate dogs and cats dreams become a reality of feeling safe and loved!

SING FUR LOVE CLUBS:

1. The website will empower kids to be passionate about animal rescue by creating Sing Fur Love clubs. The clubs will be dedicated to promote large scale Sing Fur Love events in their local community. The purpose of the adoption events is to ease overcrowded animal shelters and find homes for those dogs and cats who would otherwise be euthanized or languish in an animal shelter for a long time.

2. The Sing Fur Love clubs will also encourage kids to volunteer at their local animal shelter and rescue center. The kids will also sing to the scared and lonely dogs and cats to soothe their hearts. The singalongs can be videotaped and posted on the website and other social media sites to showcase adoptable precious dogs and cats.

I will shut down my Gofundme page once the Sing Fur Love website is up and running and generating sponsorship money.

With the popularity of the website, I will seek out companies and prominent individuals to sponsor the website. These sponsors will have their company logos/names showcased on the website.

Proceeds from the sponsorships will go into a general fund and be distributed to existing rescue centers, animal shelters and rescue groups based on financial need.

This highly creative initiative will provide a revenue stream that normally doesn't exist for these organizations.

For example, a portion of the proceeds would go to the award-winning, state-of-the-art Felines & Canines adoption center in Chicago and first- of-its-kind Hunter Stephenson rescue center in Alabama.

I will also be creating a video with a boy and girl singing my song I wrote from my published Sing Fur Love children's book on Amazon. They will sing my song to a rescue puppy and kitten held in their arms at an animal shelter.

The video will serve as an example for kids to send in their own videos. Featuring their own original song they wrote and are singing it to their dog or cat how much they mean to them!
