Sindt Family Fire

Dan, Danielle and Elena Sindt’s home in Modena was victim to an accidental fire on Sunday August 2nd.   Within minutes, the blaze took most of their home and possessions.  I’ll never forget what I saw when I drove up to the site, so many firefighters and first responders trying their best to save the home and Dan, Danielle and Elena standing by helpless, watching their home, memories, personal items and all of Dan’s work tools destroyed.

You may know the extended Sindt family, who have lived in Stone Ridge for many years.  Dan works as a house painter and general contractor and Danielle works in accounting.  Elena is an 8th grader at Wallkill Middle school.  Dan graduated from Rondout Valley along with his brother Pete and parents Linda and Andy are well known in the Stone Ridge community.


Dan, Danielle and Elena need our help.  While insurance will help, there are many things that the insurance will not fully cover.  The house will need to be rebuilt and of course the loss of their memories, personal items, baby pictures, school projects etc can never be replaced.
