Hello there beautiful blessed people of this green earth, my name is Destiny Farrow. I am a senior at The University of Alabama studying Environmental Sustainability through a New College self-designed major. Roll Tide! I have been granted the opportunity to follow my dreams while also following my depth study. I have been accepted for a summer internship in Hawaii pursuing Sustainable Business Management. The cool thing about this internship is that I will actually be partaking in everything the farm has to offer including herbology, green building & ecological design, orchard restoration, tropical horticulture and more!

I specifically am raising these funds for my plane ticket and any additional expenses while on the Island. There is a separate tuition cost of $4,000 (this includes a meal plan, room, wifi, and excursions) but I am working hard to receive a scholarship to fund that. However, $1,000 needs to be paid by January 15th to hold my spot for the internship.

I have worked so very hard and conquered many obstacles over the last year. These obstacles were very out of the ordinary and include but are not limited to a car driving through my house and losing a lot, I've just had my second breast cancer scare at 22-years-old, I have spent over a $1,000 in co-pays for doctor visits in the last five months alone, and some very needed but very painful and expensive injections. Know that I am a college student taking 16-18 hour semesters and working two jobs. I have never traveled or been able to seize an opportunity as incredible as this. This means more to me than anything. Please allow me to share with you my journey and make you proud!

If there is one thing I can guarantee to each of you that invest in my educational pursuits, who invest in my life experiences, is my deepest gratitude. You are my heroes.
