Sinaloa Music seeks Holiday Miracle

Tax deductible
The Sinaloa Music department is one of the top middle school music programs in the country having received numerous awards and recognitions for its bands and choirs. From being recognized for having the top middle school level jazz choir in the country to performing in
Washington D.C. for the National Memorial Day parade, the music program has achieved a level of success rarely seen in middle schools. Currently there are 266 students in the music program.

One of the guiding principles of the music program is to strive to provide the students with as many opportunities as possible. One of the ways this is accomplished is through an extensive array of classes including:

•6 th grade band •7th grade band •8th grade band •6th grade choir •7/8th grade choir •Beginning jazz band •Intermediate jazz band •Advanced jazz band •Jazz choir •Show choir •6th grade rock band •7th grade rock band •8th grade rock band •Beginning strings •Intermediate strings •Advanced strings

While offering all of these classes, the music program operates on the philosophy that all students deserve a chance to participate in music - regardless of their family’s financial situation. This means that all classes, instruments, field trips, and opportunities are offered to
every student for free, if they need it.

Unfortunately, most years there is little to no money available from the school or PTSA to fund anything in the music program. This means we rely on parent and community donations to fund the majority of our needs. This has included everything from basic necessities like sheet music, instruments, and chairs, all the way to trips and advanced tutoring.

Currently we need a lot of supplies to replace aging or broken equipment. We are also looking towards preparing kids for 21st century music opportunities.

Your help in supporting our music program that delights and inspires the hearts and minds of many of our kids would make all the difference in the world!

To kickoff this campaign, I will be contributing $2000.

Please help fulfill their 2016 wishes with a Holiday Miracle!
