Hello, my name is Laura Levreault, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. What was supposed to be a fun filled weekend celebrating my best friends birthday skiing quickly turned into the unimaginable. Unfortunately, my best friends husband went into cardiac arrest on the mountain, luckily at the base, requiring CPR/AED in order to resuscitate him. With the collaborative support of bystanders on the mountain, ski patrol, and medical staff, he miraculously survived, which is a blessing in and of itself.

It was determined that Sinai will need open heart surgery due to several blockages, as well as will require numerous medications throughout recovery and lifelong. This unexpected medical emergency has turned their world upside down, and they are facing significant financial challenges as they navigate this difficult journey, as Sinai does not currently have health insurance.

Those who know Sinai (and/or his wife Spencer), know that they are two of the most amazing people with the best personalities and hearts of gold. 

Sinai is a mechanic who is always offering support to friends and family, even strangers, offering free work and a helping hand at the drop of a dime. He will be out of work for months, requiring 24/7 care once home, assuming that all goes smoothly during the open heart surgery and hospital recovery in the upcoming weeks. Aside from health expenses, this will also make it difficult for them to pay for everyday expenses.

I know that they have been hesitant and reluctant in seeking assistance and help from others, but any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference and bring us one step closer to ensuring that they will make it through this, without the added stress of financial worries.
