Sims's medical recovery fund

This GoFundMe account was created to support our friend and family member, Sims.

Earlier this month, Sims had a heart attack. Not long after being admitted into the hospital, he suffered a stroke during one of his scheduled procedures, ultimately losing movement in his left arm and leg.

For a while, he could not sit up or move on his own without the support of medical staff, and controlling his blood pressure levels proved difficult. Due to his injuries and elevated blood pressure, he was held in the hospital until he was transferred to a rehabilitation facility to undergo physical therapy.

After days of laborious hard work and determination, we are now happy to share that he has regained movement in both his left arm and leg and can walk with a walker and cane independently.

Although he has made considerable strides in recovery, we know he still has a long road ahead of him before Sims can fully function on his own as he once did. There will be a time of transition as Sims returns home and, after further recovery, returns to work.

Until then, life for now, and at least for some time, will be challenging, but we know family and friends, both near and far, will continue to look after Sims as they have been since day one.
