SimplyNav 2022 Launch
Wouldn’t you like to know that your high school freshman son or daughter feels comfortable in their school? Each fall, about 4 million students walk into the doors of high school for the first time. The first time for them can cause high stress along with anxiety before school even starts. Transitioning into high school is already hard for students, and navigating an unfamiliar environment only adds to this feeling. We saw this first hand in August 2021 as our high school was returning to in-person learning. During freshman orientation, we served as guides, helping freshmen become more familiar with the high school experience. Students were getting lost left and right, unable to find their classes. They also had no idea how to get involved in their school community. This is where we come in. Our company, SimplyNav, is an easy-to-use multi-use navigation app that provides students with step-by-step directions as well as resources to help them better navigate the high school experience. You may be thinking “there has to be a solution to this problem already”. Tech giants like Google Maps and Apple do have digital maps of indoor spaces, however, they are not equipped to give step-by-step directions. Also, Schoology and School websites have many links to outside sources and have nothing all in one place. Our easy-to-navigate app would allow individuals to plug in their final destination, ultimately minimizing travel time as well as allowing students to subscribe to certain school events on the “Scout Hub”. There are 115 million high schools, Teachers, and Parents in the United States. If we choose to focus on Lake County alone, nine hundred thousand high school students, teachers, and parents would be in the market to use our product. Our free app is easily accessible to students, parents, and teachers. Charging schools based on their student population would allow us to bring in just under 2 million dollars in our first year of business and another 6 million dollars in ad revenue. With a growing market due to people getting back to school and work, our company is a sound investment.
