Simply Spuds Stolen Trailer Fund

Hello! My name is Keelie Mann. My husband and I are the owners of Newman Creek Cellars winery, located in Massillon, Ohio. Our daughter Kayla, a hardworking entrepreneur, started her own food truck business this past year. After midnight on Monday, April 25, my daughter’s entire business was suddenly gone. The Simply Spuds food trailer was stolen from the lot it is stored on. This trailer contained all of the equipment to run her business. In the blink of an eye, everything she had worked so hard on the past year just vanished. She started this business with a lot of hard work and perseverance, and some LOWLIFE THIEF destroyed that. This business was soon to become her primary source of income. She recently picked up a part-time job in addition to her full-time one in order to save up some money for her honeymoon, as she and her fiancé are to be married in January. She has always been a hard worker and has never asked for any charity, but this time she needs help.

 

As a result of this theft, she has had to cancel several events, resulting in a significant loss of revenue. Even if the trailer is found, the repairs and or replacement of the equipment will take time. There is also the issue of her insurance deductible, which will come out of her pocket. She had just put a large amount of time and money into improvements to the trailer. The food service license is for that trailer. She will need to go through the whole application and inspection process on a new trailer if not found. The insurance covers the trailer and contents but not the licensing or loss of revenue. She is currently looking into alternative ways of providing her food services to help keep the business afloat until this is all straightened out.
