While navigating the post COVID-19 landscape we have discovered, like so many of you, the cost of acquiring anything has forced people and businesses to pivot dramatically. We are not impervious to this. The economic climate continues to affect us all in different ways. For Simple Soda Co the biggest change needs to be our packaging. The glass bottle is an iconic part of our brand but has become our greatest hurdle.

Hindsight being what it is, we realize now that we needed to switch to cans. This change should have occurred much sooner. It is impossible to clearly predict every circumstance but we did feel confident we would push through. We dedicate a great deal of time into R&D, proved the concept, and know that cans are a major part of the solution. Considering the investment needed in order to make the change, we had hoped to have more time and/or solutions before moving to cans.

That being said, we had invested all our time and resources into the equipment for bottles. After recent developments, it is clear that using glass bottles is unsustainable. Switching to cans is going to open up a great deal of opportunities for us and is the right next step.

We love our product but love the community that has supported us even more. You have been our greatest inspiration and drive to keep us going. This is your chance to be part of this change!

This will also allow us to ship, so any of our out of state friends will be able to get soda shipped to them once we’re back in production!

All funds are going to be used to get us back in production ASAP and help us to get back to farmers markets and start supplying to local vendors again.
