About four years ago I started the reuse and refill business Simple Sundries in East Portland, Oregon with the goal to make a wastefree lifestyle accessible to everyone.

Simple Sundries has grown a lot since it opened as a delivery service in 2019, offering only a handful of products for refill. When the pandemic hit, and the few places around Portland that did offer in-person refills closed their stations, I felt I could open up my garage in a way that maintain safe distance in an open-air environment and not have to rely on plastic garbage to stay safe. So I began the Refill Window out of my home and it ran every Sunday for over two years from my home in East Portland. Then after a traumatic winter that involved selling my home, I was able to open a new Window out of my friend's home and we were able to run it there for several months.

Then discovered this gem of a storefront in the heart of the Sumner neighborhood that has been vacant since November. The charm of the historic building (built in 1948) and the enthusiasm of the neighborhood just won my little heart. We hope to open the store for limited weekend hours beginning July 9th. Help us raise money to get set up, renovated, and ready!
