Simonson Family House Fire Relief

This weekend tragedy struck - our sister Natalie, her husband Patrick and their 3 children suffered a house fire in Kentucky which completely displaced the family. They lost much of their home, their 3 pets and many of their possessions. We thank God above all else that no one was hurt, and now look for a way to share God’s grace. We know the day will come when life will be normal again for the Simonson (Adkins) Family, but that will be after many weeks of hardship, rebuilding and without the current comfort of their home.

As Aunts and Uncles, our hearts hurt for three kids that are going through a trauma that is hard for even adults to imagine. Holly is in 7th grade and enjoys reading, running and collecting shells and stamps. Isaac & Elliott, twins, are in 4th grade. Isaac enjoys animals, legos and RC cars. Elliott enjoys video games, science projects and collecting rocks.

Our call is to help three kids feel compassion and love. Children’s beds, dressers, a basketball hoop and model airplanes can all be seen in pictures of the fire’s aftermath. Much of their stuff that wasn’t consumed by fire has been destroyed by smoke. Sometime in the future home insurance will be available, but today our goal is normalcy - funds for a clean outfit, winter coat, shoes and some items to call their own.
