He was supposed to be celebrating his honeymoon with his now wife Lupita. On July 21st my dad suffered a severe accident at the beach where he broke his C1 Vertebrae which forms the joint connecting to the skull and spine. This type of injury kills instantly. When we arrived to the hospital they had to rush him into surgery as they did not like what they saw on his X-ray. Right before the surgery, Lupita and I met with the surgeon whom explained to us the 3 possible risks. #1 a very minimal chance to survive the accident,  #2 become paralyzed or #3 leave his family behind.  
I felt my heart drop to my stomach... I did not want to lose my dad. The surgery lasted 3 hours and those were the most intense hours of my life, as much as I tried not to think negative I couldn’t help but picture the doctor walk through those doors and give us the bad news... well, he finally did and said the surgery went well. THANK GOD! All of the doctors are so amazed that’s he’s alive and recovering so fast. It was truly a miracle! My dad is meant to be on this earth, he’s meant to live a long happy life with his wife and family. He is so strong. I cannot express how blessed I feel to have him here today. I mean it when I say this, don’t take your loved ones for granted, always tell them you love them, because in the blink of an eye they can be gone, and you’ll never expect it. We got very lucky my dad is still here today.  As this was very unexpected we are being hit with very high medical bills, we ask that you please find it in your hearts to send over some prayers and/or any donations to help our family.  God bless ❤️
