On February 28th, 2021 our lives turned completely upside down. My beautiful sister left this earth and became an angel in Heaven. Simone was my sister, my best friend, my person. She was the most incredible loving, vibrant, majestic presence and soul. Simone was the kind of sister who protected me and our brother when we were younger from the toxic environment we all endured with our parents. She always was so lovey and mushy and would always love making us feel uncomfortable with her love. Simone always made sure to be positive and optimistic about life as hard as it tore her down. She had the most beautiful infectious smile and chuckle that warmed up anyone’s day. I’d always tell her she’s my little Asian sister because every time she’d smile her eyes would barely be open. Simone was very in tune with herself spiritually and loved being in nature, being barefoot, putting flowers in her hair and being one with the earth. She was like a butterfly always fluttering around meeting new people and leaving incredible marks on them to always remember her. She always believed tomorrow would be a better day despite how hard any day was. When my sister and I moved to West Reading together in our apartment, the first place she showed me the Reading museum trail. I remember falling in love and walking endlessly with her time after time, smelling all the flowers, and dipping our feet in the water while absorbing the sun. My memory of my sister is their and I can feel her with me always whenever I walk through our trail. I’m making this Go Fund Me to help raise money to purchase one of the trees at the Reading Museum Trail and dedicate it to her memory by having her name placed on it. Simone would love of loved to have a tree named after her in nature at her favorite place, to where all her family and friends can go visit her and embrace her forever. My sister was one of a kind, and the most strongest, rarest beautiful person that God created and blessed me to have in my life for almost 30 years. Simone would have been 30 April 1st. Simone didn’t deserve the hurt and pain she endured for so many years. As much as my heart aches, I know she’s completely free and feels nothing but peace, love, rainbows and happiness in Heaven frolicking in endless flowers and smiling down on us every single day. I feel so embraced by your presence with me everyday. You’ll be my guardian angel forever my love. Until we meet again muffin, I love you Monie ✨
