God bless you, I’m the oldest daughter of Simone Green. They suggest introducing yourself first but every moment I can get I’m sure to say my mothers name wishing more people got to know the personality/person behind it. I’m Heaven, and I’m speaking on behave of my five younger siblings; Az’rael , David, Zaylin, Sylas, Phoenix and our grandparents Phyllis and Lester.

We lost our mother Simone on Sunday March 8, 2022, Mother’s Day. Her unexpected death caused a ripple effect of sadness in us all. My second oldest brothers had sweetly asked all of us to write a letter to our mother on Mothers Day so that she could read them in Heaven. It was one of her favorite holidays, to have the love she showered her children with showed through her babies coming together to do sweet things they learned through her definition of love. During this tragedy it left my siblings without a home or someone to care for them. My three siblings , Phoenix ,Da’vid, and Az’rael are now my responsibility and with the help of my grandparents, the adjustment has been the biggest blessing of our lives for our relationships. Loosing our mother has meant our brothers Zaylin and Sylas had to be placed with there biological father and that was the hardest part. Everyday we are still fighting for my baby sister Phoenix who needs special care to keep her where she wants to be , with her family and brothers.

We are asking for help keeping our family together after loosing the glue. We are in need of help with the challenges we have as a new family who’s been broken apart.

I’m 21 years old with a home meant for one. My Grandparents are extending themselves in every way needed even with their health being a priority. We are taking on my mothers responsibilities and adding to those we already had. Her sudden death left my grandparents and I with debts that are impossible to cover including funeral cost and moving cost. This so something we can’t do alone. We are planning with focus around securing my siblings a home, school, their medical needs, food, clothes and much more. Loosing a mother, daughter, or friend, isn’t easy and changing what you always knew to be the family dynamic isn’t either. Being a single mother Simone had to cater to her children without assistance from their fathers. Simone had always fought for her children to be together and did that successfully out of want and need. Simone moved here to Fresno where her mother and father could help to take care of her children and build a stronger relationship. It never mattered what needed to be done as long as it was for their benefit. Now my siblings are asking me to meet those high set standards and I plan to go above them. I hope to secure a new home for my family that supports my mothers children and bring us back under one roof. I can’t replace the love she had for her children but I can show them that I will be everything she was and more. Simone made sure that they were always beyond comfortable and saw to their every need. She took care of five children independently, the strength of a single mother is something i couldn’t imagine. This is my new reality and I pray that we can reach our goal with this fundraiser. I hope to bring security into our new family. I hope that we reach the audience needed to build a foundation for our new family.
