Simone's battle with Guillain Barre
Donation protected

GBS attacks your nervous system. It starts in the feet and moves all over the body causing paralysis in the upper and lower extremities and the face.
There is no cure for Guillain Barre Syndrome but there are treatments that reduce the severity of the symptoms and lessen the duration of the illness.
Simone has been in the hospital since April 12, 2017 and had to be moved to ICU on April 17, 2017. The illness has progressed all over her body has caused her to have a feeding tube. She has been given five treatments of - Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and we are waiting to see if she will have to have a Plasma exchange.
Recovery from GBS is long and sometimes up to a year.
Simone is a pharmacy tech at Frye Regional Medical Center and we do not know how long she will be out of work recovering.
Donations to help this family with bills and medical expenses will be greatly appreciated. This will also hopefully help with her recovery. Thank you
